Zun Zun coffee
Zun Zun is a Ugandan coffee brand cultivated by young adults, aimed at generating more jobs and income opportunities in Uganda. As part of our expansion strategy, we rebranded to enter the Swedish market. The goal was to create packaging and branding that honor Zun Zun's Ugandan roots while representing young farmers, promoting ecological practices, and ensuring fair trade—all while appealing to the Swedish market.
My Role: Project Manager
As the project manager, I was responsible for:
- Tracking timelines and ensuring deadlines were met.
- Coordinating tasks and clarifying roles within the team.
- Maintaining regular communication with our client to ensure alignment on project goals.

Rebranding Name: We transitioned from "Mara Agribusiness" to "Zun Zun," a name that better reflects the brand’s playful and energetic spirit while staying connected to its roots.

Website Redesign: We crafted a new website design that highlights the brand’s core values—community, sustainability, and youth empowerment—tailored for the Swedish audience.

Challenges and Solutions
One of the biggest challenges was designing packaging that captures the vibrancy and culture of Uganda while avoiding a "childish" appearance. We resolved this by using a palette of rich, bold colors combined with clean lines and modern typography, resulting in a sophisticated yet playful design.
Outcome and Results
The rebranding project was a success, leading to a positive reception both from the client and the broader audience. The shift from "Mara Agribusiness" to "Zun Zun" was highlighted on the client’s LinkedIn, where it received encouraging feedback. We delivered the project on time, and the client praised the smooth process and clear communication.
